I am looking for any information about my father Charles P. Carson.
He was born on April 30, 1894 at Detroit, Michigan to John Carson and Elizabeth
Fleming. His mother died during childbirth and he was taken back to Montana
with his Fleming aunts to be raised. On 1916, he enlisted into the U.S.
Army at Helena, Montana. If anybody has information about either my father
or the Fleming family, contact me at the e-mail above.

John James Patterson (born 5/13/1848 in Florissant, St. Louis, MO),
arrived at Great Falls in 1878 to join his older brother, William Patterson.
John Patterson drove stagecoach and on 1/17/1883, married Mary Ann Smith,
the daughter of the proprietor of Townsend's Canton Hotel, John Smith.
Smith, an immigrant from Sweden, had married Mary Gillean from Ireland,
and had three children in California, two of whom survived, Mary Ann and
Sarah Jane (who married Charles Brooks Doggett in Townsend). The Pattersons
had four children in Townsend, two surviving (Idelle Ava, married three
times, and Ella Matilda, married John W. Gilmont), and then moved onto
a horse ranch on the Smith River in Cascade County by 1885, where they
had eight more children. Patterson served on the Cascade County Commission.
When the ranch failed, all of the Pattersons moved to Seattle in 1907,
and then later to California. Another of the daughters, Priscilla Margaret
Patterson, married George Hamilton Stillson in Seattle, and lived in Berkeley,
CA. Mary Ann Smith Patterson died 11/14/1910 in Seattle, and John James
Patterson died 2/4/1940 in Sacramento.
