Grace taught school at the schoolhouse in this picture. I don't know where the school was located, but it was probably within a few miles of Castner Falls, Cascade County. As you can see from the first picture, DeForest used his father Frank's car, and Grace may have lived some distance away. In my mother's words "It is thought that Grace and DeForest would have married if DeForest would have gotten a steady job and settled down."
