It was harvest season in 1999.   On a Friday, Billy Wolff came in from the fields on his farm near Lindsey, Montana, after a hard day's work.  Within a short time after his arrival home that evening, Billy suddenly died of a heart attack.   He left his grieving widow, Shirley, and his adult children to mourn his passing.  The practical issue of what to do about the harvest was a looming reality.  The sudden death, preparations and a funeral took up the better part of a week.  It was the Thursday after his death that that twelve combines from all over the area showed up on the farm!   The men worked the entire day harvesting Billy's grain.  At the end of the one day, they had harvested 900 acres with an estimated yield of 23,000 bushels of wheat!   What a testimony to the life of Billy Wolff and to the other Montana farmers who were willing to help out in a time of need! Shirley (or a friend using her camera) took these photos with the panoramic view.  She said that three of the combines were in another part of the farm when she took the photo of the nine.
