The occasion for this gathering was the marriage of Albert Dover to Dorothy Cottom, 
July 1931. Each of the Dover boys lived to be more than 90 years old. To date more than 140 descendants
 have resulted from the union of John Albert Dover with Lydia Ann Layman. 

John Albert and Lydia Ann Layman Dover homesteaded north of the Little Belts and
Buffalo Canyon. This was in Judith Basin County, Montana. Here they raised five sons.
