Many of the miners who worked for the big coal companies around Klein lived in these miners caves.  Fronts were put on the caves, and they were fully furnished and decorated inside.  Corky submitted this photo, and also notes that an elderly friend lived in one as a boy.  His family rented it from the coal company for $25.00 per month, and he would steal coal from the coal train to fuel their stove!
