To the ver left you see the armory. The Valier School, built in 1909 is the stone building in the background. It's a Bed and Breakfast now, a lot of memories for many Valierians. Original Catholic Church in the mid-ground, and the Blacksmith on the right side. The Rockies always loomed to the west. Folks could predict the weather by gauging how close the mountains looked .Closer, colder and wet, farther away warm and dry. This picture would have predicted colder and wet.
