The funeral of Oliver Atkins age 26 years, whose body was found floating upon Lake Cinnabar, was held yesterday directly following the inquest. The young man mysteriously disappeared during the night of March 20, but it was generally thought that he had left to secure employment at some other place. An autopsy was conducted yesterday by Dr. W.P. Reynolds, to ascertain whether death was caused by drowning, and it was found that such had been the case; so there can be no suspicion of foul play. A father, two brothers and grandparents of the unfortunate young man reside at this place and have the sincere sympathy of the community in their bereavement. His uncle, aunt and eight cousins of Gardiner also attended the funeral yesterday.
