D. HORGAN, FORMER MAYOR OF BUTTE, DIES
Butte, Aug. 12. –(AP)—William D. Horgan, former mayor of
Butte, died suddenly today at his home. He was 57 years of age and a
native of Memphis, Tenn. Mr.
Horgan was a resident of Montana for more than 40 years and at one time
was manager of Connell’s store in Butte.
In 1923 he was elected mayor of this city on the democratic
ticket and was reelected two years later, being the first mayor to have
two successive terms.
