A mailing list for Butte-Silver Bow County,
MT has been created. (Note: In 1977, the city of Butte and Silver Bow County combined
governments to form Butte-Silver Bow.)
The MTSILVER-L Mailing List is an e-mail list for
anyone with a genealogical interest in Butte-Silver Bow County. These cities and
communities for the most part include Butte, Divide, Melrose, Ramsay, Rocker, Silver Bow,
and Walkerville.
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE LIST:
There are Two Versions to choose from:
1. MTSILVER-L is for
individual messages to be delivered to your e-mail address. As each subscriber to the list
sends messages to the list address, you will receive a copy of the message. To subscribe,
send an e-mail message to: MTSILVER-L-request@rootsweb.com with one word in the body of
the message: subscribe.
2.
MTSILVER-D is for a digest of several accumulated messages to be
delivered to your email address. As each subscriber to the list sends messages to the list
address, they are put into a digest to be delivered later. The digest is generated
approximately once a day and delivered to digest subscribers. This option is handy for
people who don't want multiple messages to accumulate in their mail box. To subscribe,
send an email message to: MTSILVER-D-request@rootsweb.com with one word in the body of the
message: subscribe.
Once you have subscribed to MTSILVER-L or
MTSILVER-D mailing lists, you will receive a welcome message with instructions how to post
to the list. You will also be instructed on how to unsubscribe should you need to at a
later time. Be sure to keep your Welcome message handy.
