- Looking for information about my Great Grandfather D.A. Downs. Born
1854 Ind. Died 1912 Warm Springs (State Hospital), MT. According to the
hospital records, he was transfered from Hill Co. and died a day later.
According to his state death certificate he had lived in Mt for two
years. Family stories say he was living in Havre. I have been unable to
locate him in the 1910 census. Since Hill county did not exist until
1912 I'm assuming this is the county I need. Any help will be greatly
appreciated. He was the only known member of his immediate family living
in Montana at the time. His wife and children were still in WA state.
Thanks, Beth Goble, Amboy, WA.

- I am seeking any information on Lester Clyde and Lula Beatrice (Bea)
BARTON. They were residing in Chouteau co in 1918, my mother, Iva Jean
BARTON, was born in Geraldine, Highland twp 23 Jan 1918. I have been
told that my grandmother taught school and my grandfather hauled beets
in a horsedrawn wagon. My grandmother lost one daughter, Marguerite, to
the flu epidemic (I think) and their only son, Warren, died young. They
had several other children I do not know if they were born in MT. Their
names were, Beatrice, Arlene & Margret.

- My great aunt & uncle William and Elizabeth "Lizzie"
Duckering lived in Big Sandy. They moved with other relatives from Minn
between 1890 and 1910 to Chouteau Co. Their 4 daughters Annabelle
Button, Cora Hunt, Dora Clark & Margorie Cornett all lived there. I
have a letter dated Dec 11th, 1914 from Big Sandy written to Lizzies mom
"Louisa Blair" telling all about the crops, the weather, and
family gossip. Other relatives that moved there were of the surname
Ramey and Crow. I am interested in making contacts with relatives and
need to find the death date as well as the graveyard of William &
Elizabeth Duckering. Thanks for any help....John Blair

- Could someone please look up a marriage record for me. There should be
a marriage record in 1902/1903 for John Morgan Hart and Margaret Murray.
I believe they lived in Chinook and that Choteau County included Chinook
at that time. Would appreciate it very much -- this man and his family
has been lost to us since he left home in Missouri/Iowa about 1850 --
this may be a second marriage for him. Appreciate any and all help.
