CURTIS DENBOW
DR. CURTIS DENBOW, both physician and professional nurse, was born in Knox County, Illinois, October 13, 1851, the son of William and Elizabeth Denbow. In 1869 they moved to Iowa, and Curtis studied at Lutheran College for two years. He then studied medicine under his father, a successful Iowa physician and surgeon, for two years. He practiced in Marshalltown and was a member of the school board. Here he was married to Miss Ella Scott.
In 1880 Dr. Denbow came to Jefferson City, Montana, and practiced there and in Elkhorn until 1887, when he went to Wickes and became actively engaged in nursing. He was married again in 1886 to Miss Jennie Lapierre. In 1900 he moved to Boulder, where he lived until his death on November 12, 1914.
Dr. Denbow was of a kind disposition and very lenient toward his patients.
He was constable of Jefferson City, and coroner of Jefferson County. He was affiliated with K. of P., A. O. U. W., and Odd Fellows. He was a Mason.
