William Boyce Thompson, Mayor Thompson’s first born, paid for the granite wall and entryway to Mount Moriah Cemetery, and just inside the gates on the right is the monument he had built in memory of his parents. He also donated acreage southeast of Butte, which is known as Thompson Park.
