OBITUARIES & DEATH NOTICES

O-P SURNAMES

Olmstead, Delphine

Mrs. Delphine Olmstead, life companion of M. N. Olmstead, died at two o'clock Thursday morning, March 25th, at her home in Big Timber, where she and her family have resided for seventeen years.  She was born Nov. 18, 1839, in Ithica, N. Y.; and was educated in the Ithica Boarding School.  She was married to her now bereaved husband Dec. 27, 1859, and her home was for years in Caroline Centre, Tompkins county, N. Y.  Since residing in Big Timber her life has been a quiet but truly earnest one, and her friendship is universal by whomever she is known.  She is a member of the First Congregational church, and has contributed much to the loyal life of obligation in both the home and the church.  Three children perpetuate her blessed memory: James C., Charles L. and Leon C.  The other relatives are, one brother, two sisters, and four grandchildren.  Mrs. Olmstead arranged for her funeral as far as she felt it might be an assistance, and to the last was a patient sufferer with a remarkable endurance.  The funeral service will be conducted tomorrow, Friday, at two o'clock at the Congregational church, in charge of the Rev's J. Pope of Park City, her former pastor, and H. H. Thoren.
