M-N SURNAMES
Mjelde, Ben
Ben Mjelde, clerk of the district court of Sweet Grass county, has been placed under arrest upon a complaint filed by O. Mydland, who claims to have filed upon a certain piece of land and given the clerk $102 to send to the land office in Bozeman to cover all filing fees. The money was never sent and the land was not filed upon. Mjelde has been in the office for several years and was considered a man of the most unquestionable integrity.

Netherman, Frank
Frank Netherman, confined in the county jail at Big Timber charged with stealing cattle, escaped from that institution Monday night and is now at large. Netherman had been given some liberties, and it is while he was after a bucket of coal in the jail yard that he took French leave. The man is about 5 feet 7 inches in height, weight about 145 pounds, dark complexion, small black moustache, hollow-eyed, sharp features, about 30 years of age, wears a white and black check shirt and a tie of the same pattern, dark suit and a slouch hat. There was a sure case against him, and he will probably make a desperate effort to get away.
